Beware the Entangling Vines

While exploring an ancient temple, Vhaja was separated from the rest of her party, leaving her alone to wander through the adandonded rooms.  Trying to use her magic to telepathically contact her allies, she let her guard waver for just a moment, as she passed through a door into a dirt-floored room.  That would prove to be a fatal mistake.

Countless vines sprang out from the ground and walls, ensnaring her limbs too quickly for her to react.  In a flash, her clothes were torn from her body, and the vines began to glow with an arcane energy that initiated a transformation that quickly worked its way throughout her body.  Unable to move, or even to call for help, she could only put up a scant resistance before she was converted into a hollowed-out wooden statue.  Now she is doomed to remain here forever, just another of the many victims to the temple's devious traps.

Only one guild member remains.  Will she escape capture, or will she join her allies in eternal preservation?

This is the third in the "Beware of" series.  Decided to give a nod to the 'haniwa' transformations somewhat popular in Japanese circles, but with a wooden material instead of clay.
